Originally built in 1961, Chase Tower at Water and Wisconsin was designed in the International style by architect Harrison and Abramovitz as Marine Bank’s headquarters. The International style is a major architectural style that emerged in the 1920s and 30s during the formative decades of Modern architecture and is defined by the expression of volume, the emphasis on balance and the expulsion of applied ornament. After World War II, the International style of architecture became the dominant approach in design for decades with an indifference to location, site and climate.
The 22-story state-of-the-art office tower stands 288 feet tall and is the largest JPMorgan Chase site in Wisconsin. First known as the Marine Plaza Building, the property was the largest building in Milwaukee until 1973 when the U.S Bank Center was constructed.
Chase Tower’s modern and sleek appearance is highly visible from the interstate and is an iconic landmark at Wisconsin and Water – the “main and main” of the Central Business District of downtown Milwaukee.
Today, it boasts the finest Milwaukee office space on the market.
